Metro Cup Trophy
There is a local annual competition near Newark Airport called the Metro Cup. Every year top pipers have been invited by the Metro Branch of the EUSPBA to play a medley and recently an MSR plus H&J. Every February piping fans in this area have a great time listening to them. In 2001 pibroch was added, to be played in the afternoon with the light music at night. Every year CE Kron & Co. (and earlier Kilgour & Kron) makes a special one-off prize for the winner. We now customarily donate the prize for the winner of the pibroch. The prizes have included:
